Barn Cats

Meet the sweet barn cats where I board the Copperpony!

Cali

Cali is very shy
she is a beautiful calico

i have boarded at the stable for a year
and
have never been able to pet her yet

in-fact...

i am surprised she let me take
her photo without running away!!!

Meet McGyver
i love his green eyes

McGyver is not quite as bashful as Cali
and he lets me pet him!

this is Shelly

she is also shy like Cali

but...
she has sat in my lap when i have watched a lesson!
she is just the tiniest little girl

she will run from you if you try to pick her up
they're always hanging out in the barn
i love seeing them sleep on the hay bales

they think they are STARVING all
the time!!!
they love it when their Mommy, Miss Phyllis shows
up to give them their wet food

there are also several others that i rarely see

i love having them around!

A barn is never complete with out some barn cats!! We had one, but my in laws bad dog got her tail and she now lives at the neighbor's house. We have tried to bring her home but she just doesn't want to stay. Your barn has some really lovely cats!

That last one is precious! She looks like she really wants some lovin' whereas the others have that inscrutable superior cat look.

I've seen all three of these kittys when I've been there too. One of them even got in some of the shots with Mom and Cowgirl Princess!

I miss having lots of cats.. I have an evil neighbor, who I found out has killed many of my cats.. I have one little Delilah cat, who lives in my garage, and gets to come out on the days Harold(evil neighbor cat hater) works. She is a Manx, and has control issues, so cannot be a house cat..

the little Calico you showed..loved just like my Clara..who I no longer have, and had loved dearly.

Those barn kitties look pretty well taken care of!

Aww pretty kitties! We only have one right now, they keep disappearing. And we live so close to the road that I am afraid they will get hit, I HATE that! We haven't had one get hit yet, but there is always a first time!

I love Shelly -- she looks like a cat we had a couple of years ago. That was the best cat I ever had. And due to a birth defect (problem in the colon) she had too short of a live. She was named "Saren" which is Serbian for "multi-colored"....
