Random Thoughts And Things

Someone snuck outside today!
Cowboy was out and felt something furry rubbing against him
and guess who?
Boggie got out and we did not see him
We are just thankful he stayed around and didn't get hurt
BUT
now he is crying and begging to get out again
He is going to drive us crazy!!!

This BIG rock was stuck in Dusty's shoe last week

IT is HUGH!!!

I was worried about a stone bruise
but he seems to be okay

Today his horseshoer came out and he got trimmed
and shoes put on his backs

Hoping to hear that the Copperpony was a good boy!
Last time he was kind of naughty

I just can't get enough pictures of my guy

Like I said before "I'm obsessed! "

I can't believe today was day 11 of our bridling
We are now using a training bit

Dusty is still having issues

BUT

it is all good!

Doc is working really hard at this
He is making it fun and playful

Dusty is really curious about this thing
we want to put in his mouth!
I am enjoying watching him
He is very relaxed and doesn't seem stressed
He is not tossing his head or moving his feet

Once he takes the bit in his mouth, Doc leaves it
in for a few minutes then he takes it out and

it goes away!!!

I'm really happy with the way things are going

I know it sounds like a long time,
but we will go out daily until it works!

I will keep you updated with the results!!!

These beautiful iris's are blooming in our yard

We also have some yellow ones which I took
a picture of and downloaded here,
and somehow I have lost it,

This is a small shady corner on our lot

We have sparrows making a nest in our carport
for the second year

Cowboy and I were wondering if they came back
every year to the same place

They love the bird bath

The male likes to sit on the porch rail and
watch Cowboy!!!

My 100Th post will be coming up soon!
I can't believe it

I am going to have a give-a-way!!!

When I started this blog, I was worried I wouldn't
have enough things to post,
but I have a list a mile long of up coming things!

Awhile back I did a post on COMING ATTRACTIONS
and still need to get it done!

So watch out for these things!!!

and of course the trials and tribulations of

Thanks for stopping by my site. I had to come over and visit yours. How much fun to have a whole family involved in horses. I seem to be the only one in mine who hung on to the farmlife and horses. I can't imagine being without them.

Ahhh Boggie, got a taste of the outside world. Now that's all he can think about!

Congrats on the upcoming 100th post. It amazes me that I find things to blog about. What amazes me even more is that people actually read it!!

Wow! That stone must not have felt good at all!!! Yikes! We have been picking up rocks out of our new pasture for the last 2 weeks at least, they are EVERYWHERE!

I am glad that the bridling is going well. Congrats on almost 100 posts!

Now that was a big stone to have in your shoe. I hope things are going well for you all up in the NW.

I love Dusty's eye 'brow' in that one photo. He has such kind eyes, too.
That bridle is gorgeous. Have you tried putting a bit of molasses on the bit? I've read that helps sometimes, too.

Funny about your kitty. Once they taste that bit of freedom, many of them don't want to go back. hehe!

How exciting on your 100th post! I'm glad you're blogging. I enjoy reading about you and your Copper Pony.

I just reread my comment and had to laugh at my part about 'taste that bit' of freedom. How ironic, eh? lol!I didn't mean to write it that way. Sounds like a pun. lol!

Sometimes you've just gotta love the randomness of things. sometimes things just don't fit anywhere else!

Keep an eye on the Boggster. We do NOT want you to go through THAT again!

I don't think Bogey would wander far away and trust me, once it was dinner time, he'd be back! :)
Cute sparrow! I'm glad that you are being so consistent with Dusty's bit work, I think it will get worse before it gets better, always seems they get really awful before a breakthrough! :)
Yea, hard to believe it's been 100 posts! You've been busy! xo

I can't believe you are almost at 100 posts! How time flies!
Sounds like Dusty is getting better at bridling. I am sure you and Doc will get it all worked out, and with being so consistent, it is bound to happen!
Dakota has escaped 3 times since his attack, once we get him back in, he'll sit at the door waiting to escape again! Little booger!

I admire your desire to start an affair at the age of 55! Ha!ha! My energy level is getting less and less but I too love my animals, esp. my horses. I love the idea of your family riding together..I would love that.
