Changing Seasons

Fall is here!
The house smells wonderful...
Pumpkin and Spice
Where did summer go?
I've been a bad blogger.
Just needed a break.
I am ready to return!!!

This Cowgirl spent time getting a new-do today!
It was badly needed.
The front porch

Every time I went some where this summer
I found beautiful feathers...
I wasn't on a search for them,
They just magically showed up.

Who is this on my COPPERPONY!

The Copperpony and I spent a lot of time
on the trails this summer.
I really felt like I needed to spend my days
with him bonding and becoming his best friend
and building our relationship.
Like a marriage!
After going off and having stitches in my lip,
a month later while powering up a hill
my belt buckle got hung up over the saddle horn
and I got a 4x4 bruise and hugh lump on my stomach.
It is better, but still sore.
I've had to deal with some anxiety when we go out.
But Dusty has been such a good boy,
and I am overcoming it.
My incidents are so minor compared to what
some of you have gone through.
The thing is, I do not want to get hurt!
I love this little saying!
My daily inspiration said this today...
Look deep within yourself and recognize what brings
life and grace into your heart.
It is this that can be shared with those around you.
You are loved by GOD. This is an inspiration to love...
I have missed you my friends

Glad to see you back!
Love seeing Dad up on the copper pony! He looks good up there. Hopefully he can get a horse of his own someday.
Believe me, I know how the confidence thing goes. It could take awhile, hang in there. It's going on year 3 since Fritzy dumped me, and I still have issues. I don't know if I will ever get over it. But it has gotten a lot better. It will get better for you, did you ever read that book I loaned you? It has some confidence stuff in there.

The new do is great for fall! I love the smell of pumpkin spice! I have little crows, too! I got them at Dollar Tree and wanted to see if you wanted some. They were pretty trashed but I salvaged them w/a black permanent marker, LOL! xo

Good to see you back. You know theres Arnica gel, the best bruise fixer-upper in the pharmacy. Good for horses too. I think every cowgirl should have some of that in her tack trunk to keep on cowgirling up.

Are you SURE you're ready for round two?! Your new "do" looks great. I can't believe your Husband got on the horse. Poor Dusty! I know Uncle Cowboy has been sneaking chocolate even if he won't admit it. I'll see you tomorrow!

Glad to see you back, and I love the "redecorating" on your blog! (see you found some feathers for it too lol)

re the belt buckle bruise. I don't wear a buckle when I barrel race because I've gotten hung up and almost couldn't sit enough running home to stop. Scary!

We've missed you, too. So glad to see you back in blogland again. Your hair do is so gorgeous and cute! I wonder if that style would look as good on me, too. It's been over 3 years since I've had a haircut. I am way past do for a new style and trim! lol!
All your photos are lovely and I'm glad you've had some time to yourself and to spend bonding with your handsome copper boy.
I hear ya on the not wanting to get hurt anymore jag. That's me through and through. My knee and quad muscles are still far away from being strong enough to climb up and stay on a horse still. And my nerves and trust are shot. So it will be a long while before I ride again, sadly.
