Bon Appetit

I thought I'd share some of my favorite things
to cook for Thanksgiving

I bought this Bon Appetit magazine in 1994.

Everything looked so yummy!

It has a user's guide to creating the perfect feast.

A Thanksgiving Sampler!

Turkey & Gravy, The Stuffing, The Potatoes, The Vegetables,

Pickles & Relishes, Breads & Rolls,

The HORS D'Oeurves!

Soup & Salads, The Deserts,

The Wines & The Table

I decided I would get away from the traditional dinner.

It was a big hit!

Year after year after year....

15 yrs later, I am still asked to make it again!!!

The pages are getting worn with love

This is so good

Delicious

These are the best ever!!!

Yummy!

Next year I am going to break tradition
and try something new!
Roast Turkey With Herb Rub & Shiitake Mushroom Gravy
Mid-Atlantic & Chestnut Stuffing
Pork and Sausage Gratin
Green Beans & Walnuts

or

Apricot-Glazed Turkey with Roasted Onion & Shallot Gravy
Northwestern Wild Mushroom Stuffing
Mashed Sweet Potatoes & Pears
Turnips & Peas

or

Southwestern Turkey & Garlic-Ancho Chili Paste & Gravy
Southwestern Corn Bread Stuffing
Butternut Squash & Onions
Brussels Sprouts & Lemon peel

They all sound so good!

BON APPETIT!

Oooh yummy!! Can I come to your house for Thanksgiving?? ;-) I think I like the first or third choice the best for next year....mmmm mushrooms! Huby hates 'em so that will never happen in our house!

I'm getting hungry already! :) Are you making dinner or is nana? I think you usually do a turkey of your own anyway, so you have leftovers!? xo

People do love keeping a tradition like it sounds like your meal has become.

Ah, yes, I've been on the receiving end of this meal more than once. Yummy! I look forward to the turkey and stuffing in a couple of weeks!

Wow! Gourmet Thanksgiving Dinner! Just like with the all of your "Cowgirl Bling" I am plain in comparison! Maybe I will come to your place for Thanksgiving dinner!

oooh! If you decide on the southwestern turkey menu, will you invite me over?
yummy!

This year is going to rather glum for the holidays as hubby will probably be on the road. I'm considering just taking the kidlets to an all-you-can-eat buffet instead of spending the whole day cooking and cleaning up.

Definetely not as nice as what you've got planned for sure. lol!
