It's SO bad this year. At least your guy is only out in it during the day. He needs the fresh air. Our horses bless their little hooves, are in it all day. Although they have places to get out of the mud- both in shelters and on dry land, so they'll survive! :) I think the mud is a pain for us and some horses hate slopping through it, but I doubt it bothers them as much as it does us. I know my horse doesn't mind rolling in it, LOL! What is almost worse, is pastures that fill with high water. During flooding season, I have seen horses huddled together on a small circle of dry land and completely surrounded with water probably 4" to a foot deep. Now that freaks me out!!
I just hate to see a horsse standing around in muddy corrals, but it is going to happen. It is so bad for the hooves. Well at least you are floating away like some out that way!
Now, if only you could share some of that with us, it wouldn't be as bad around there. We are dry as a bone and have been for most of the year. We could use some of your rain.
OHHHH looks like you guys are in the same boat as we are!! We have so much water standing around here!! We can't even park close to the house because of the mud and water! I hope you and us dry out LOL!
At the age of 55 I got my first horse, my beloved "Dusty." My life revolves around him. It helps to have a wonderful husband who loves him as much as I do! "I honor my horse for his brave heart, courage, and willingness to give." He brings me such joy, and I feel truly blessed to be in HIS life! I am one of the "Pony Cousin's". My daughters are Pony Girl and
Paint Girl. They are the light of my life.

Ugh! Rain is great for the pastures but no good for the corrals! Our barnyard gets so saturated sometimes you can't even walk through it.
Yuck!! I think I prefer the snow we got today
Yuck. Looks all too familiar. Is it too early to be dreaming of spring?! ;)
I hate muddy paddocks, makes me feel bad for the horses too. Not much to be done for it though, just have to wait for late spring

Yeah, this is one situation you don't want to have a waterfront view! Poor Pony. The mud is just icky!

Poor Dusty.

not a pretty sight!
Believe me, I know how you feel! My horses have also acquired ocean front property. I think the rain can stop anytime now! I am so tired of it!
Ewww! We've finally dried up. Hope it isn't coming our way....
